Discover an authentic and special place for the care of body and mind
A health and relaxation area surrounded by greenery on Jordan's northern border Among Jordan's many natural attractions, there is also an incredible variety of natural springs of different origins.
They are best known for their curative and rehabilitative properties for many illnesses. Hot springs are usually used as spas by visitors. Among the main curative sites in Jordan is Al Hammah, in the north of the country, overlooking the Yarmouk River, which marks the country's border.
The Al-Hammah baths have been used since ancient times for curative purposes. Their use dates back to Roman times, when people were willing to travel many miles to be cured by a bath in these waters, which were considered rich in minerals and had unique properties.
Today, the resort offers many facilities and services for tourists and visitors, which have come about thanks to newly developed projects. In addition to the treatments, the area also offers pleasant walks in a fascinating natural setting, unlike anywhere else in Jordan, in terms of the shape of the land, the abundance of plants, the presence of waterfalls and the variety of birds.
The Al-Hammah baths area overlooks the occupied territories of the Golan Heights and is located 100 km north of Amman, 37 km from Irbid and just 5 km from the ancient city of Umm Qais.
