The wild side of Jabal Moussa
A pure coniferous forest in the Adonis Valley
Hiking on a moderate downhill (2.4 km) trail through the humid bushy forest of El Ebreh and Chouwan, in the shade of tall pine trees.
Overlooking the majestic Adonis Valley, the trail wanders within a wilderness rich in broadleaf species like the arbutus and oak trees growing between the massive rocky outcrops. Along the way, you will learn the tale about how the trail got its name; while passing through a laurel-scented forest.
After crossing the Chouwan water source you will reach the scenic lake in the depths of the legendary Adonis Valley, where you can enjoy a picnic lunch.
This trail features dramatic canyon views, a wild setting, as well as a rich endemic flora and biodiversity.
