From wood to charcoal Charcoal production is one of the most vital traditions of the region since antiquity, as well as an important source of income for the local population, through its sale for personal use, for heating and cooking.
Which is the reason why it is looked on as “black gold”, very precious and valuable.
Charcoal making consists of burning wood and other organic materials at very high temperatures, in a minimum oxygen environment. The end product is the charcoal which is used in medicine and art as well.
