A natural and green site with orchards and caves
This archeological site reflects the identity of a number of civilizations
A tangible heritage in Beit Awwa is Beit Baer, which is the place where orchards and caves are located, part of which is known and present, and parts are buried. There are also remains of a Byzantine Church.
The human settlement at the site dates to different periods: The early Bronze Age, the Intermediate period, the Iron Age, the Hellenistic period, the Roman period, and the Byzantine period, in addition to the early and late Islamic periods.
The site contains tombs, caves, grape and olive presses, as well as remains of ancient buildings, architectural elements, and decorations, such as remains of columns and their capitals, friezes, lintels, door jambs, and others. In addition, there is evidence of stamped handle jars dating to the Iron Age.
