An ancient artistic technique revived in recent decades
Write your name or your beloved name on a piece of art that reflects the beauty of the past and culture of the Arabian desert Some believe that the Nabateans already discovered the technique of glass sand art, after the invention of the hourglass. The city of Aqaba was certainly one of the birthplaces of this specific craftsmanship, which is now known all over the world.
The sand is poured into small bottles and, through a very special technique, forms enchanting landscapes almost always inspired by the panoramas of the Jordanian deserts. The curious and interested will be able to take part in a craft workshop led by an experienced local artist-craftsman, who will explain the techniques and secrets of this craft. You will learn how to make artistic products with bottled sand and will have the opportunity to create your own artwork, with the guidance of an expert.
