A small agricultural town on the side of a hill
Ecological and organic farming techniques
The site of Wadi Fukin was inhabited since Ottoman times. Ancient remains have been found in the area, such as a chapel and tombs carved in the rock.
The villagers use ecological and organic farming techniques. It has 11 springs, which are used to irrigate hundreds of small plots of land thanks to a system of canals and dam. Orange and lemon orchards have been planted near the springs.
