Lead beneficiary It is a civil society organisation that has been engaged in international cooperation and the fight against social exclusion since 1983. In almost 40 years of operation, we have been present in every region of the world. Today, the CISP is active in more than 30 countries with initiatives for the affirmation of fundamental rights and social inclusion, the fight against inequalities and social injustice, the creation of economic and social opportunities as well as the protection of marginalised people. Società Cooperativa Culture, Italy CoopCulture is one of the biggest national players in the management of cultural services in Italy. It is a cooperative company committed to the enhancement of cultural heritage through different kind of integrated and strategic activities including the empowerment of different audiences through audience development programs, the introduction of new technologies in museums, the partnership with local institutions and cultural and touristic operators within innovative public and private partnerships. It is a distinguished academic and research institution, dedicated to providing students with an engaging learning environment and a supportive campus culture. APJM - Association for the Protection of Jabal Moussa, Lebanon The Association for the Protection of Jabal Moussa (APJM), a lebanese non-governmental, not-for-profit Organization, was founded in 2007 by prominent professionals from the region and a few well known public figures who were all driven by the same cause: protecting the rich biodiversity of Jabal Moussa and its cultural heritage from increasing external threats. Our mission is to conserve and highlight the unique natural and cultural heritage of Jabal Moussa Biosphere Reserve, empower local communities to achieve collectively their own sustainable socio-economic development, and build effective partnerships with local and international stakeholders. Our vision is a world in which communities obtain collective responsibility for their own future in the context of their own unique culture and create a growing global network of Biosphere Reserves which preserves the planet for future generations. JREDS - The Royal Marine Conservation Society of Jordan Was founded in 1993 by a group of concerned Jordanian ecological divers, headed by HRH Princess Basma bint Ali, one of the first female divers in Jordan. The initiative, which started as a simple for-fun nature dive officially became the first specialized Jordanian non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to the conservation of the marine environment in 1995. Since then, JREDS programming has developed from the implementation of a variety of activities to a more comprehensive way of thinking, resulting in the establishment of three distinct programs: Marine Conservation, Outreach & Advocacy and Sustainable Development. PHTrail - Palestinian Heritage Trail A non-profit community-based tourism union that delineates, and develops PH Trail in and around different Palestinian localities. The organization endorses cultural diversity and exchange, safeguards tradition and heritage, inspires storytelling and encourages friendships based on the advancement of human values and the preservation of the surrounding environment and the people’s needs for further growth and education. PHT works closely and jointly with local communities to cultivate their resources, capacities and the opportunity for a better life. MIC - Ministry of Culture, Italy The Italian Ministry of Culture was founded in 1974 as “Ministry of cultural assets and the environment” and afterwards it was the “Ministry of cultural assets and activities and for tourism”. In 2021 it has been instituted as the Ministry of Culture and has been in charge of the protection and the valorization of the material and immaterial cultural heritage and the promotion of culture as key driver of sustainable economic development and as tool of peace and dialogue among people of different countries.
